Hiking 15 Miles Alone on Pembrokeshire Coast Path
I’m happy with this video, it’s decent as a silent hiking video, if I may say so. I learned to stop and take every shot, change the lens when I feel it’s worth it, no second thoughts. That’s why I’ve done 15 miles all day instead of 50 or so planned. It’s rare that I watch back on my videos, this one and the solo sea kayaking Loch Bracadale (read the blog post here) are two of the few that I watch back.
The warmest day out on a trip since I moved to the UK. Usually I put on all the layers when I get off the train or come out of the tent, this trip instead I was showing off my fine figure. I never thought I would get a tan hiking in Wales. Earlier in the year I’ve even taken off the drysuit and put on shorts and sandals when paddling one day on Spey (read the blog post here). That was another first, pleasant surprise though.
A unique experience and one I’m gonna remember for the rest of my life was listening to the seals barking and amplified by the amphitheater shaped coves (go back to the video and turn up the volume).
There is a way to escape in case you get bored, weather turns for the worst or any emergency via a shuttle bus service between St David’s and Fishguard.
